Therapeutic icing device
« on: May 04, 2012, 01:16:48 AM »
Suki here.  I am having a hip revision Monday and just received a call from a medical supply company. Apparently my doc has ordered this icing device, described as looking like a one legged pair of hockey pants, with three settings---icing, compression icing, and massage icing. The rep tells me I am going to love this as it really lessens pain and leg swelling.  I have been reading this discussion board, and others, and haven't run across any mention of this device.  Anyone used one, and thoughts about effectiveness?  I have to admit the imagery here of hobbling around in half a pair of inflatable hockey pants and my TED hose strikes my funny bone.....

Hi Sue- If you have a look on surfacehippy (Pat's other site),
Danny (Dannywayoflife) asked about them a few weeks back.
I think he bought some-it might be worth searching for the thread about it.
Hope it goes well for you, Mike.
